about Dedric

Dedric is the owner and founder of the Empirical Knead Model and is the only working massage therapist in Atlanta that has  over 13 years of clinical research experience with Emory University. With 3 clinical publications illustrating the Empirical evidence of the efficacy of-and the biological effects of massage massage therapy and informed touch. Empirical Knead techniques and protocols are informed by informed, confirmed by experience and affirmed with over 16 years of  results.

Together, with his research background and with a mastery understanding of anatomy, physiology and kinesiology, Dedric excels in resolving an array of orthopedic needs and treating chronic systemic inflammatory conditions.

As a clinical researcher, educator, content creator Dedric has an insight to the healing, anti-inflammatory, and biological benefits of massage that is rare in the health field.

He trains this knowledge into his therapists with regular and routine training sessions. Ensuring that each therapist is up to date on the latest in research, techniques and client relations. You can find the latest research publications throughout our site.

With over 13 years of valuable experience in clinical research alongside Emory University, Dedric possesses a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field. His passion for exploring innovative techniques in massage therapy is evident in his continuous research efforts at Empirical Knead. Additionally, Dedric is not only a respected massage educator but also a published clinical author, sharing his insights and findings with the wider community. Beyond his professional pursuits, Dedric finds joy in music, indulging in his love for singing, and staying active through a friendly game of tennis.

Tony is a highly skilled and experienced massage therapist, graduating from the prestigious Atlanta School of Massage in 2012. With years of experience in the industry, he has built a strong reputation working with a wide range of health care providers. In 2023, Tony furthered his expertise by completing training in the innovative Empirical Knead model, which has garnered rave reviews from his clients for the exceptional results it delivers. Tony's exceptional skills and devotion to his craft make him a standout in his field. Outside of work, Tony enjoys indulging in his passion for creating intricate laser crafts. When he's not working or crafting, he cherishes spending quality time with his new baby and his loving wife, finding joy and relaxation in their company. Tony's dedication to his clients and his commitment to his craft make him not only a superb massage therapist but also a devoted family man.
